Eli Reed and Eli Keszler are: One Hundred and Forty Four Thousand!

Two Brookline-to-Brooklyn transplants with musical resumes most of my readers would probably commit genocide for are reuniting for a new project!

ELI KESZLER is a conservatory-trained percussionist who has performed with everyone from cult recluse Jandek to 1960s Jamaican rocksteady innovator Lynn Taitt, as well as recording solo and with Ashley Paul, Mass. Hysteria, Lip Service (his duo with American Idol metaprankster Andrew Fenlon) and Red Horse.

ELI "PAPERBOY" REED honed his chops after high school by playing blues guitar in Clarksdale, Mississippi, playing gospel organ in the south side of Chicago and flying to the UK to record with Holly Golightly. His band the True Loves has released two critically-acclaimed albums, had Beyonce's little sister sing backup vocals, and opened for the Dave Matthews Band at Giants' Stadium for fuck's sake!

Though both were in the earliest of True Loves incarnations, they have not worked together since... UNTIL NOW!!!

One Hundred and Forty Four Thousand are playing at Union Hall in Brooklyn on March 3rd. Don't miss it!!!
